What’s new in v0.04

The big one: community drills. You can now share and download OpenDojo practice drills right here on the site. A drill is up to 8 recordings you train against in Tekken’s practice mode to learn a matchup, a punish, or some string defense.

Community drills

  • New Drills page where anyone can search and download drills. No account needed to browse or grab them.
  • Search by character, by the moves inside a drill, or by words in the description. Sort by most DORYA!, most downloaded, or newest.
  • Each result shows the character’s mini portrait, the drill name and description, when it was added, and its download and comment counts.
  • Open a drill to see the full breakdown: every recording’s name, and for recorded inputs the exact direction, buttons, and frames. Move-list recordings show their move ID.
  • Every character page has a new Drills tab with that character’s drills, sorted by DORYA! so the community favorites float to the top.

Sign in, upload & DORYA!

  • Sign in with a Google account to contribute. You pick a display username that’s shown on your uploads and comments.
  • Upload a .drill.txt and the site reads the rest (character, description, CPU side, recordings) straight from the file. Everything is validated first, so broken or non-drill files get bounced with a clear reason.
  • Hit the DORYA! button to upvote a drill you like, from anywhere it shows up. One per drill, tap again to take it back.
  • Leave comments on a drill once you’re signed in.
  • You can delete your own uploads at any time.

Frame data & moves

  • Moves that changed in the latest Tekken patches (3.00.00 through 3.01.01) now have an orange flag next to them.
  • There’s a new Patched filter so you can see just the moves that changed. Each patch version is its own pill, so you can tap one (like 3.01.01) to see only that patch’s changes, and the count tells you how many. Open a move and it tells you what changed.
  • For moves that hit more than once, the frame data now shows the startup for each hit, not just the first.
  • Search is smarter about notation. Type df2 and it finds df+2, so you don’t have to get the slashes and plus signs exact.
  • You can flip move inputs between icons and plain text (TXT). The site remembers what you pick.
  • Tidied up the filter pills: renamed CH Launch to Counterhit.
  • Some moves on the Guidance tab have a little note now, like when something launches in Heat or is a command grab.
  • Started adding a How to beat it bit to moves with quick tips on when to duck, step, or punish. Alisa first, more coming.

Characters & archetypes

  • Reworked every character’s archetype tags so each one has a clear primary playstyle plus a few supporting traits.
  • Rewrote all 41 character descriptions to include real move names and quirks and better fit their archetype, in preparation for the guides.
  • New Archetypes page explaining what each tag (poking, pressure, stance, keepout, and the rest) actually means. There’s a little info icon next to the archetype filter and on each character page that links to it, plus hover definitions on the tags themselves.
  • Archetype tags now stay visible on character pages on phones instead of getting hidden.

Site & polish

  • The backlog page has a couple new columns (Season 3 and heat engager).
  • Fancier homepage title and a friendlier 404 page when a link goes missing.
  • The site now serves over HTTPS at giantdojo.com.
  • Tab icon updated to be closer to the site logo.

What’s new in v0.02

June 3, 2026
  • New logo at the top of the page.
  • You can now pick how the frame data table looks (stacked, side-by-side, or expand a row in place). The site remembers your pick.
  • The frame data table fits the window better. On small screens it hides a couple of columns so the rest is readable.
  • The row you click in the frame data table is now highlighted in orange.
  • The Feedback button is orange now and has a duck on it.
  • On the Combos tab you can type a move (like df+2) to filter, instead of clicking chips.
  • The top of each character page is smaller on phones so you see more without scrolling.
  • Rewrote the short descriptions for every character’s key moves so they all read the same way.
  • Added a thank-you link to WavuWiki on the About page.
